Find My Parked Car & Timer ("the App," "we," "us") is a parking-spot saver for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses, how it is stored, and the choices you have. We built the App to work entirely on your device — we do not run servers that collect your data, and we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

In short: your parking history, photos, and location data are stored only on your iPhone. We have no backend, no analytics, and no advertising SDKs in this app.

1. Information the App Uses

What we do not do

We do not use tracking technologies (cookies, device fingerprinting, advertising identifiers, or the App Tracking Transparency framework), because the App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not operate a server or database that stores your personal data — everything above lives in a single file on your device (findmycar.json) and, if you enable iCloud/device backups, may be included in your personal encrypted device backups the same way as any other app data.
We do not sell or share your data with data brokers or third parties for their own purposes.

2. Permissions the App Requests

Location (When In Use): Required so the App can save your parking spot's coordinates and guide you back. You can deny or revoke this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services; the App simply won't be able to save a spot or give directions without it.
Photo Library: The App uses Apple's system Photo Picker, which lets you choose a picture without granting the App general access to your photo library. We never see or receive photos you don't explicitly pick.
Notifications: Used only for local meter-expiry reminders that the App schedules on your device. You can decline or disable these in Settings → Notifications.

3. Subscriptions

Find My Parked Car & Timer offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Find My Parked Car & Timer Pro") that unlocks unlimited saved spots, meter reminders, parking history, photos, and directions.

The subscription is billed weekly through your Apple ID account and may include an introductory free-trial period, disclosed on the paywall before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
You can cancel anytime in your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current, already-paid period — the subscription remains active until that period ends.
Any unused portion of a free-trial period is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
Refunds, if any, are issued by Apple according to the App Store's refund policies, not by us.
All payment and subscription-management data is processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details.

4. Your Choices & Rights

Delete your data: You can permanently erase all data the App has stored — your saved spot, history, photos, and preferences — from Settings → Data → "Delete All My Data" inside the App. This action is immediate and irreversible.
Revoke permissions: You can turn off Location or Notifications access at any time in iOS Settings; the App will continue to function with reduced capability.
Uninstall: Deleting the App from your device removes its locally stored data (subject to your iCloud backup settings, if any).

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, you have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (or equivalent local law) including the right to access, correct, or erase your data. Because all data described above is stored solely on your device and never transmitted to us, the in-App "Delete All My Data" action is the most direct way to exercise your right to erasure. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties, so no opt-out is necessary; you may still use the deletion method above at any time.

5. Children's Privacy

My Car Location is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data to us in the first place, no such information is retained on our end.

6. Data Retention

Your parking spot, history, photos, and notes remain on your device until you delete them individually, use "Delete All My Data," or uninstall the App. We do not retain copies anywhere else because we do not receive this data.

7. Security

Data stored by the App benefits from the security protections built into iOS, including sandboxing and (if enabled) device encryption and iCloud backup encryption. Because your data never leaves your device to reach our servers, there is no server-side transmission for us to secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or for legal reasons. If a change is material, the App's first-run privacy notice will be shown again the next time you open it. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
