US Visa Map
Last updated: June 13, 2026
US Visa Map (the “App”) is an informational reference app that shows, on an interactive world map, the entry and visa requirements a U.S. passport holder faces for each country. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not handle.
The short version: US Visa Map does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and contains no advertising or third-party analytics or tracking. Your favorites, settings, and travel notes stay on your device.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. The App has no user accounts, no login, and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
2. Information stored on your device
The following data is created by you and saved only in the App’s local storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party, and we cannot see it:
- Favorite countries — the countries you bookmark.
- Travel notes — any personal notes you write about a country.
- App preferences — your theme choice and other settings.
This data is removed when you delete the App (or clear its data through your device settings).
3. Network connections
The App works offline for its core features: visa data and map geometry are bundled inside the App and require no network access. Some optional features do connect to the internet to fetch content, and when they do, your device communicates directly with those services — not with us:
| Feature | Service contacted |
|---|---|
| Country overview summary | Wikipedia REST API (Wikimedia Foundation) |
| “Videos” tab | YouTube search, shown in an in-app web view (Google LLC) |
| “Wikipedia” tab | Wikipedia mobile article, shown in an in-app web view |
| “Google” tab | Google search, shown in an in-app web view (Google LLC) |
When you use these features, the relevant service may receive standard technical information sent by any web request (such as your IP address and device/browser user-agent) and is governed by that service’s own privacy policy:
- Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy (covers YouTube and Google Search)
The App also checks your device’s network connectivity status so it can tell you when you are offline. This check happens entirely on your device.
4. App store review prompt
The App may invite you to rate it using your platform’s native review feature (Apple App Store or Google Play). This prompt is handled by the operating system. We never see what you rate or write, and submitting a review is entirely optional.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-audience informational tool and is not directed at children. Because we do not collect any personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Data security and retention
Because the App does not transmit personal data to us, there is no server-side data for us to retain or secure. The favorites, notes, and preferences described above remain on your device under the protection of your device’s operating system until you remove them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
