Smart World Map & Countries · for iPhone and iPad

Terms of Use

Effective

The rules for using the app, how Premium subscriptions work, and your rights as a user — in plain language, with all the details that matter.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Mustafa OZ (“OZ”, “we”, “us”, “our”) about your use of the All Countries app — also known as “Smart World Map & Countries” and “World Map & Countries” — including Premium, Atlas and every other feature (the “App”).

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms

If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live that can’t be excluded by contract.

The key points

  • A personal license

Use the App for your own non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control.

  • Premium is optional

A weekly auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple, with a free trial for eligible new subscribers.

  • Cancel anytime

In Settings › your name › Subscriptions — at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

  • Refunds go through Apple

Apple processes all payments, so refund requests go to Apple.

  • Atlas can make mistakes

It’s AI. Check anything important — visas, safety, health, laws — with official sources.

  • Maps aren’t political statements

Borders, names and flags are shown for reference and learning only.

  • Play fair

No scraping, automation, or getting around limits, Premium or ads.

  • Turkish law, your rights intact

These Terms follow the law of Türkiye; your mandatory consumer protections still apply.

1.The agreement

These Terms apply whenever you download, install, access or use the App. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

If you downloaded the App from Apple’s App Store, your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and your license to the App is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA. If they conflict about your license to use the App, the Standard EULA prevails; on everything else, these Terms prevail.

The “In short” summaries, key points and headings are for convenience only and don’t limit the full text.

2.Who can use the App

The App is rated 16+ on the App Store, and you must be at least 16 years old to use it. If you’re under the age of majority where you live (18 in most countries), you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the App, including any purchases.

You may not use the App if the laws that apply to you prohibit it.

3.Your license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to download, install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms, for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

  • copy, modify, translate, distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend or sublicense the App or its content, or create derivative works from them;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, or try to extract its source code, except to the extent the law expressly allows despite this restriction;
  • extract, copy or use any keys, tokens, credentials or configuration the App uses to connect to its services, or access those services other than through the App;
  • scrape or bulk-extract the App’s content, data or Atlas answers — for example, to build a competing product or to train AI models;
  • remove, hide or change copyright notices, map attributions or other proprietary notices; or
  • get around Premium access, daily allowances, ads or security features.

We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you.

4.Free features and Premium

The App has free content and features; the rest requires Premium, and the App shows which is which. Currently:

What the free version and Premium include
FeatureFreePremium
CountriesThe countries of EuropeEvery country and continent
Explore journeyThe first chaptersThe whole journey
Atlas questionsA daily allowance (currently 19 a day)Unlimited for normal personal use*
AdsOccasional adsNo ads
Promotional notificationsOnly if you switch them onNone

* To protect the service from automated and abusive use, Premium includes a fair-use safeguard — currently 2,000 Atlas questions a day, far beyond normal personal use. Daily allowances reset at midnight on your device.

We may change what the free version and Premium include over time — for example, by adding features or adjusting daily allowances. If we make a change that materially reduces Premium, we’ll tell you in advance, and it won’t take effect before your next billing period, so you can cancel if you wish.

5.Subscriptions, free trial and billing

Key subscription terms

Subscription
All Countries Premium — an auto-renewable subscription
Billing period
Weekly (every 7 days)
Price
Shown in the App and on the App Store in your currency before you confirm — for example, US$4.99 a week in the United States. Prices vary by country and may include taxes.
Free trial
Eligible new subscribers may get a free trial (currently 3 days). Apple decides eligibility — generally one trial per Apple Account.
Payment
Charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends
Renewal
Renews automatically at the current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancel
Anytime, in Settingsyour nameSubscriptions. Deleting the App doesn’t cancel your subscription.

Free trials

If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial ends, it automatically becomes a paid weekly subscription and your Apple Account is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Managing and canceling

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then All Countries Premium.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Premium stays active until then. See Apple’s guide: Cancel a subscription from Apple.

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple. We can’t see payment details or issue refunds ourselves. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com (see Apple’s refund guide), and Apple decides under its policies. This doesn’t affect any statutory rights you may have, such as a right of withdrawal under consumer law.

Price changes

We may change Premium’s price. Apple will notify you in advance as its rules and the law require and, where required, will ask for your consent before your subscription renews at the new price. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Also good to know

  • Premium isn’t available through Family Sharing.
  • To restore Premium on a new or reset device, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore previous purchases on the Premium screen, or Restore Purchases in the App’s Settings.
  • If Apple can’t collect a renewal payment, Premium may end, subject to any billing grace period Apple provides.
  • Purchases may be blocked by Screen Time restrictions or need approval through Ask to Buy.

6.Atlas and AI-generated answers

In shortAtlas is helpful, but it’s AI and it can be wrong. Double-check anything important.

Atlas is an AI assistant built into the App. Its answers are generated automatically by large language models from a third-party provider (currently OpenAI) and aren’t written or reviewed by a person.

  • Answers can be wrong. AI answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, biased or inappropriate, and may state incorrect information confidently. Atlas has no live data: it can’t check current weather, prices, opening hours, events or entry rules.
  • Not professional advice. Atlas is for general information, learning and entertainment. Its answers aren’t legal, immigration or visa, medical, financial, safety or other professional advice. Always check important information with official sources — such as government travel advisories, embassies and consulates — before relying on it.
  • One country at a time. Atlas answers questions about the country you’ve selected and may decline questions outside that scope.
  • Your questions. You’re responsible for what you ask. Don’t include sensitive personal information, information about other people, or anything you don’t have the right to share. Questions are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Use it responsibly. Don’t use Atlas to create unlawful, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive or infringing content; don’t try to manipulate Atlas into ignoring or revealing its instructions; don’t send automated or bulk requests; and follow OpenAI’s Usage Policies.
  • Using answers. You may use Atlas’s answers for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Similar answers may be given to other people. You’re responsible for how you use and share them.
  • Availability. Atlas depends on third-party services and may sometimes be slow or unavailable. Daily allowances apply as described in Free features and Premium.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t responsible for decisions you make or actions you take based on AI-generated answers.

7.Country information, maps and borders

The App’s facts, figures, editorial texts, flags and maps are provided for general information and education. They’re built into the App, updated with App releases, and may be incomplete or out of date — for example, population figures are estimates from when the data was prepared.

Maps and borders aren’t political statements

Borders, place names, flags and the list of countries and territories — including partially recognized states — are shown for reference only. They don’t represent any position on sovereignty, disputed territories or the legal status of any country, territory or area.

The App isn’t designed for navigation or any safety-critical use.

8.Games, challenges and events

Quizzes, the Daily Challenge, in-app events, medals, streaks and scores are for learning and fun. They have no monetary value, can’t be exchanged for money or prizes, and may change or end. Your progress is stored on your device, so it can be lost if you delete the App or move to a new device without restoring a backup. We aren’t responsible for lost progress.

9.Your notes and feedback

Your notes, travel statuses and favorites belong to you. They stay on your device, and we don’t access them. You’re responsible for keeping backups. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

10.Third-party services and websites

The App relies on, and links to, services and content from third parties — including OpenAI, Google (AdMob and Firebase), Mapbox, Apple (the App Store and Apple Maps), flagcdn.com, Wikipedia and Wikivoyage, YouTube and the search engine you choose. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link isn’t an endorsement. Pages opened in the built-in browser are third-party content.

Acknowledgments. Country data is based on REST Countries; map data comes from Natural Earth (public domain); flag artwork comes from flag-icons (MIT License) and flagcdn.com; the globe uses Mapbox (© Mapbox, © OpenStreetMap contributors); country maps and Look Around use Apple Maps; and animations use Lottie. Each is subject to its own license or terms.

11.Ads and notifications

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Advertisers are responsible for their ads, and any dealings you have with them are between you and them. Please don’t interact with ads artificially — for example, with repeated or automated taps. Premium removes ads.

If you switch them on, users of the free version may receive occasional notifications about new features and offers. You can switch them off anytime in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings.

12.Acceptable use

When using the App, you agree not to:

  • break the law or anyone’s rights, or use the App for any fraudulent or harmful purpose;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload or try to gain unauthorized access to the App or the services it uses;
  • use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to access the App or its services;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code, or probe or test the vulnerability of any system;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; or
  • help anyone else do any of these things.

We may suspend or restrict features — for example, Atlas — if we reasonably believe the App is being used in breach of these Terms or in a way that puts the App or others at risk.

13.Intellectual property

The App and everything in it — including its software, design, text, editorial content, illustrations, event artwork, games, the Atlas character and the App’s names and logos — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Third-party content belongs to its respective owners. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions; other trademarks belong to their owners.

Copyright complaints. If you believe something in the App infringes your rights, email us with: a description of the work; where it appears in the App; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized; and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you’re the rights owner or authorized to act for them.

14.Updates and availability

We may update the App to fix problems, improve it or comply with the law, and some updates may be needed to keep using it. We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering the App, giving reasonable notice where required. The App may sometimes be unavailable — for example, during maintenance, outages of the services it depends on, or without an internet connection. We provide support by email and, to the extent the law requires, maintenance.

15.Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that its content or AI answers will be accurate or reliable.

If you’re a consumer, you keep your statutory rights — for example, in the EU, the UK and Türkiye, the legal guarantee that digital content and services conform to the contract — and nothing in these Terms limits them.

16.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill or opportunities, arising from or related to the App, AI answers or these Terms, even if we’ve been told such damages are possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any other liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law.

17.Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless from third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs, arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the App. This doesn’t apply where the law prohibits it, including where it would restrict your rights as a consumer.

18.Suspension and termination

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it — remember to cancel Premium separately in your Apple Account. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the App, with notice where reasonably possible. When your license ends, you must stop using the App. Provisions that by their nature should continue — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive. Refunds are available only under Apple’s policies and applicable law.

19.Governing law and disputes

Before starting a formal dispute, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue informally — most concerns can be settled quickly this way.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir, Türkiye, have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

If you’re a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees or Consumer Courts within the limits set by Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection.

20.Export and sanctions compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you aren’t located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you aren’t listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree to comply with the export control and sanctions laws that apply to you, including those of Türkiye, the European Union and the United Kingdom.

21.Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the App from Apple’s App Store, you and we acknowledge and agree that:

  1. Parties. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
  2. Scope of license. Your license is limited to using the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms, except that the App may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  3. Maintenance and support. We’re solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App, as described in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the App.
  4. Warranty. We’re solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
  5. Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession or use of it, including (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You make the representations in Export and sanctions compliance.
  8. Developer name and address. Questions, complaints or claims about the App should be sent to Mustafa OZ, İzmir, Türkiye, at thehelloworld.apps@gmail.com.
  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App, such as your wireless data service agreement.
  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

22.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll change the effective date at the top of these Terms and, for material changes, give reasonable notice in the App or on this page before they take effect. Changes don’t apply retroactively. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you don’t agree, stop using the App and cancel Premium.

23.General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Standard EULA, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don’t enforce a provision, we don’t give up the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a transfer of the App, as long as your rights aren’t reduced as a result.
  • Events beyond our control. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails to the extent the law allows.
